📅 Thai & Buddhist Calendar ปฏิทิน

Thailand runs on two calendars at once. Everyday dates are Gregorian, but the year is counted in the Buddhist Era (พ.ศ., the Gregorian year + 543), and the holy days follow the moon. Switch views to see each one.

Wan Phra this month วันพระ

Buddhist holy days, on the quarter, full and new moons. Many Thais go to the temple, offer food to monks and keep the Eight Precepts.

  • 🌑 6 February · New moon · แรม 15 ค่ำ เดือน 2 · Waning 15, lunar month 2
  • 🌓 14 February · First-quarter moon · ขึ้น 8 ค่ำ เดือน 3 · Waxing 8, lunar month 3
  • 🌕 21 February · Full moon · ขึ้น 15 ค่ำ เดือน 3 · Waxing 15, lunar month 3

Covers 2026–2028 (พ.ศ. 2569–2571). Wan Phra dates come from the published Thai holy-day calendar, and the lunar holidays are worked out from them. 2028's official public holidays haven't been announced yet, and when a holiday falls on a weekend Thailand often adds a substitute day off, which isn't shown here.
